And so on

And so on

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

Silence deflects the distant affection that sustains

The infinite emotion guarding the treasures

That life claims as her own

While my life glows in her full dim hollow light

Despair distracts the path of guidance

Blocking future calls of selfish solitude

While you might see her in your eyes

Covered in blood

That spills right out of her skull

And while hate covers your mind

The knife holding your hand

Claims justice

And so on.

The story that once was such a beauty

That blind-folded your heart

Now seeks you.

Tracks you down

Ready to take you downwards,

To the hill of flames
