Sapphire

Sapphire

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

Longevity shines
Like a crystal based
Darkened wind sapphire
In the windy waves

Fault brakes
Dividing land abound
Inside us
Sweeps through desire

Desire that awakes
The night owls
And black doves
Hovering through water in silence

I love you.
I love so much that I don’t mind
The darkness, frightening me
The Cold and humidity.

The inhospitability
And awkwardness
Timeless beings
In the deserted streets
Of mainstream

Death and god, mostly god.
Walking on the pond, darkened by blood
My blood
Spilling for you

And
If I don’t see you at the end
Before the night collides
In the distant

I’ll come back tomorrow
To roam the wastelands
Scavenging
Until the end of time
Until the end of time.

I really like the poetic sound of this poem. Its very essence whispers. Not sure of its meaning. It is one I need to ponder.
