Blinded

Blinded

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

And the moon turned red
And the sky turned black
Now I find me dead
I cannot come back…..

….Floating in the requiem hum
Gazing through the broken wall
Dreaming of the time to come
Drifting through the entrance hall

Slow and dead now am I walking
Waiting for my life be taken
Waiting for the news of braking
Drifting up to be forsaking

Blinded in the sea of nightmares
Blinded by the flight of serpents
Hoping to gain my lie pending
Fighting for my independence

Crossing through the bridge of sorrow
Finding my soul deep and hollow
Drifting through the night and shadows
Finding death so hard to follow

Sliding in the space above me
Sinful things began to haunt me
Surreal things evolve around me
Evil beings trying to break me

Blinded in the sea of nightmares
Blinded by the flight of serpents
Hoping to gain my lie pending
Fighting for my independence

Blinded in the sea of nightmares
Blinded by the flight of serpents
Hoping to gain my lie pending
Fighting for my independence….

...And now slow I die
Behold my second death
Befriend to the black fly
Slowly loose my breath

Such a dark write, wonderfully descriptive, and eloquent in the pain and dispair. Great write.

Wow...I am speechless and that is a difficult thing to achieve. Well done. Another great write. Keep that creative genius going and I look forward to reading more. Your work is unique in a good way, like nothing I have ever read, but so deep and riveting. Keep it up. =)
