To Ponder Your Life Away

To Ponder Your Life Away

A Poem by Donald
"

Do you ever wonder what life you are meant to live.

"

To ponder your life away,

you may wonder about it during the day,

to determine where in eternity to stay,

to work or to play.

Life may pass you by,

and never say hi,

all you do is wonder why,

to let it live or die.

You sit and stare into the sky,

and how you can get that high,

high enough to fly,

as time goes by.

Like an eagle,

you soar across the sky,

racing the sun,

as it passes you by.

An eternity may last one night,

or last forever,

if time takes flight,

leaving you in its pure light.

The world is damned,

if you try to make a stand,

but only if you had ran,

according to your simple plan.

But life is never a simple thing,

for it is a complex beast,

that has a familiar ring,

and it never sings.

All because you wanted to ponder,

what fate had in store,

over yonder,

makes your heart grow fonder.

Is life a romantic tale,

that flows forever,

like a great sail.

on a gigantic whale.

Whatever life has to give,

all you have to do is live,

not on the fallen altar,

but on a star that never falters.

Let you live,

and stand so free,

that you never worry,

about taking liberties.

Truth be told,

you may grow old,

but your soul,

will never be gold.

Never fear,

of what appears,

pass some time,

by having a beer.

The spirit soars in the sky,

as time rolls on,

and you may die,

never asking why.
