SometimesA Poem by DonaldThis is a temptation in life, to overeat. This is for all those out there who find sanctuary in food and looking a way out.Sometimes you wonder, why fate is so cruel, why do I have to act like the fool, why do I have to be someone’s tool.
But then again, why do you listen, to those few, who tell you how to act and to do.
Why do you eat, when there is nothing to do, or snack while you are working too, and then again do you.
For life is a mystery, for me and you, to be fat, when people are cruel.
You eat when you are sad, or when you are just mad, even when you are glad, stuffing your face full of food.
Why oh why, why be that way, when you do have a say, as you eat away.
For life is worth living, rather than eat away, your future, and with the pain.
Every diet you have tried, every meal you have missed, comes back harder, then a hammer or a fist.
Making you fail, before you even try, making you wonder why, in this final try.
For no one loves you, if you are fat, and you eat away, regardless of the facts.
But if you keep looking, someone awaits, to help you lose, all that weight.
Never lose faith, never compromise, for hunger always lies, even if you feel hollow inside.
For you to win this battle of the mind, you must be willing to try, regardless of the pain, and answer the reason why.
To regain your self-esteem, and your pride, to feel good about yourself, and to find that one tonight. © 2014 DonaldAuthor's Note
