The Dance of Poetry

What make up a good poem, is the rhythm of words, or the emotions that make it up. perhaps is all and then again, maybe the folly of someone's imagination gone wild.

Where does the poetry come from,

what drives it to be,

and to flow like the wind,

in the mind and heart.

 

It is the symmetry of words,

the emotions,

that flows through them,

and give it life.

 

For without the poetic flow,

a poem is nothing but words,

with no flow,

or any purpose.

 

For a true poem,

is a dance of words,

that are filled with emotion,

and joy or sadness.

 

For a true poem,

contains the emotion of the writer,

and their intent,

of where it was destined to go.

 

For a poems is a story,

with elements of love,

heroism,

and adventure.

 

To help the reader take flight,

and immerse themselves,

in this colorful tale,

and to fulfill their destiny.

 

As with all things,

true and just,

you can lift their spirit,

to a new plane.

 

Giving them new life,

and new purpose,

to move on to the next,

statement of precious words.

 

For the dance of words,

is a mystery,

known only to the author,

for he knows it’s true purpose.

 

But memorable poetry,

can be read over and over again,

with each time,

exciting as the last.

 

Too many poems,

end up on the trash heap of life,

unread and undiscovered,

suffering from a premature death.

 

For they are the ones,

written by the struggling artist,

who do not have the funds,

to help them see the light of day.

 

While the greed of man,

publishes the trash,

that is read,

by an unfeeling part of society.

 

Alone and unwanted,

facing the fate of death.
