![]() Starlight BoundA Poem by Donald![]() Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered, if on some distant world, someone is staring back at you and wishing on our star in the sky.![]() Starlight, star bright, wish I may, see a star tonight.
For every star’s light, is bound for us to see at night, and it can be a beautiful sight, late night in the twilight.
Is starlight bound, for us to see at night, to wish and dream, upon a falling star tonight.
But stars never fall, down from the sky, for they may fade away, and die far in the deep night.
For the starlight we see tonight, Was sent a long time in the night, Where stars may be born, And die in a foreign sky.
Far away from our, nightly sky, deep in space, these stars lie.
We wish and dream, to see a star tonight, a distant sun, lights a different world in sunlight.
Is there someone there, looking in the night sky, and see our sun shining bright, wishing on our sun tonight.
Wish as we may, wish as we might, we wish to see a star tonight, shining in a sky so bright.
A light shining so bright, we can see it shining, late at night, starlight shining in the night sky.
Moral bound, we cannot leave the ground, and fly amidst the stars, shining in the night sky.
Living free among the stars, seeing all the worlds, as their star shines, on their world this night.
Feeling our spirits soar, among the stars so far, bringing peace to those, who wish upon a star. © 2014 Donald |
