Land of Fantasy

Here is a poem for all those believers out there. Those who can see the fantasy.

Of fairy queens,

and other things,

that can live in your mind,

and come in the dark of the night.

 

Pixies abound,

in this this fanciful land,

where unicorns,

and Pegasus play.

 

Where trolls,

live in the darkest places,

away from the light,

to see their faces.

 

Gnomes scurry to and fro,

on errands of mercy,

away from a land of man,

and have many places to go.

 

Brownies too,

exist in this rule,

doing their duty,

living where it is true.

 

For it is a land of beauty,

away from all of the duty,

and then nothing is ever moody,

and nothing is ever truly.

 

What it seems in real life,

for there are no fairies,

no unicorns,

no Pegasus.

 

NO trolls,

or gnomes to show you the way,

or brownies,

to see at play.

 

For life is not a fantasy,

and reality is the true way,

of the world at large this day,

as we move to keep it at bay.

 

To live in a dream world,

makes some want to hurl,

all of the rest of it away,

to hide away from the pain of the day.

 

No matter what they say,

nothing can take the pain away,

nothing can hide from the day,

no one to show you the way.

 

But still you must try,

and never lay down and die,

or speak with a wistful sigh,

what you long to see with your eyes.
