Golden Wings

Golden Wings

A Poem by Donald
"

This piece spoke to me in ways I don't understand. It had to make an appearance and come out into the light. Like some automatic writing.

"

Life is pain,
life is pleasure,
for some,
it is a measure.

The measure of love,
the measure of peace,
the measure of strife,
and the measure of life.

What more is there to life,
is there joy in every moment,
or is there sorrow beyond a doubt,
for doubt does not compare to love without.

For true love,
there is no pain,
only joy,
and happiness eternal.

What more could a person ask,
but to be in a love that lasts,
beyond this moment,
and unto the next.

Life is a challenge,
life is a riddle,
something to be solved in the middle,
and then to be spread on golden wings.

Over the land,
over the sea,
this is what life means to me,
to be in love.
