Praise for Him

This is the first truly religious piece I have written. They are the lyrics for a song that I have just written.

We are amazed by him,

we praise him,

for he is our lord,

our savior,

the one we truly love.

 

He gave us life,

regardless of his strife,

and a future to behold,

for before there was darkness,

and he became our light.

He raises us up to the sky,

to be with him when it is time,

for he lives up high,

and we all cry,

as he walks by.

and his gentle hand,

touches our face,

as we start to cry.

Somewhere in the distance,

we hear his words,

be calm my children,

please don’t cry,

for you fill my heart with pride.
