Drifting on the Plain

Drifting on the Plain

A Poem by Donald
"

Does your life feel fulfilled, or is there something missing from it. You keep searching for that missing part, hoping to find it.

"

You drift through life,

on a vast plain,

with no direction,

and no purpose.

Yet you wonder,

if there is more to life,

more to see,

and more to do.

All you see,

is shades of gray,

sadness is everywhere,

along with pain.

Life is never simple,

it is never straight forward,

and sometimes,

never what it seems.

But drifting through life,

is not real,

because you are not truly living,

where you want to be.

You need love in order to grow,

otherwise you only exist in the shadows,

that is no existence to have,

for everyone desires to live in the light.

For life is but a moment in time,

to live and grow to your potential,

then to have love,

and finally moving on.

What more could you wish for,

to have that one great love,

to raise a family,

and to be truly happy.

But still you drift on the plains,

you can’t but help and wonder,

what your life would have been like,

if you had taken that chance.

One day soon,

you may find what  you are looking for,

a life full of joy and happiness,

and then your life will be complete.

But until then,

you will keep searching,

for one day,

you will find your true love.
