Humane Society

The Humane Society does good work to save and care for those animals in need. You should really check them out if you get a chance. But your new best friend could be waiting there.

A noble place for friend or beast,

a place for some to rest in peace,

these creatures who know nothing of love,

they teach them this and all the above.

 

To look into their longing faces,

breaks my heart in many places,

yet I must do what I can,

to see that some find a true friend.

 

Cat or dog or even rabbit,

Can find a place to inhabit,

For this is a place for all,

that seek a place fit to fall.

 

They seek only a place to stay,

and a friend for play,

for nothing stands in their way,

whether they meow or bay.

 

They go wherever they can,

and as much as they are able,

they show pictures of them on cable,

for that is their duty to be.

 

The pets that want a place to stay,

for someone to love is their way

safe and happy is what they need,

from the cold and rain of the weather’s eve.

 

What of those whose needs are not met,

Can they help those in need,

to provide food for those in deed.

 

They help families with the medical needs,

by caring for all in deed,

by provide medical care for all,

even if they did not care to fall.

 

Visitor abound,

Ready for find their new best friend around,

All shapes and color are to be found,

from kitty cats to basset hounds.
