End of Days

The signs are all coming into play, and we may be in for a rough time ahead unless we make a stand and state no more war.

We live in interesting times,

of weather gone wild,

and people gone mad.

 

For only the mad would want,

the way things were,

of mistrust between nations,

and war looming in the darkness.

 

There is a time predicted,

in the bible when,

it will be the end of days,

famine and death,

will take their share,

and a new union will form in the East.

 

Now that is happening in the East,

some countries are returning to their old ways,

and new leaders are coming into power.

 

It may not be the way it was predicted,

but it still is coming true.

 

A new united power is growing,

countries are choosing sides,

to restore the balance of power.

 

What should we do to prevent this,

from turning into the ultimate war,

between the light and the dark forces,

and to destroy the innocence in the process.

 

Is this the ultimate test,

of good over evil,

or is it just madness,

showing its true face once and for all.

 

For I believe that this is not a sign,

of the beginning of the end,

and that this is man’s fate,

to end in such folly.

 

We must stand up to the tyrants,

and tell them we can take no more,

that there is more to stake,

than just war.

 

This is not a just war,

to be fought and to die for,

this is a war to end all wars,

and not to be called for.

 

Rise up we must,

and to stand up for what is right,

one man does not have the might,

to determine the fate of all.

There are one or two particulars here that I would like to know more about. Like, what is this union in the east you mention, that is happening now? And who is this one man you refer to in the second last line?
Interesting piece of writing, Donald. Would like to know more about it.

The problem in the Ukraine is the country in the West because of its former ties to Russia and the way the Soviet president has been acting to reform the USSR. Right now it is just an issue with the unmarked Russian Troops moving through the country to aid the portion of the nation that still speaks Russian. But of course I would like to know more. After all the USSR was formerly a foe of U.S.A.

Thanks, I know everyone that reads this may live in a different part of the world, but then we never look too deeply beyond the moment into the real truth of the matter. For all I know, it will disappear as another hiccup in history, but if we look into ourselves, we can create our own interpretation of what is happening.
