Ripples in the PondA Poem by Donaldhave you ever throw a stone into a pond and watched the ripples as they fan out. I think emotions are the same way. What affects one person will eventually affect everyone who know them. You throw a pebble in a pond, and watch the ripples as they fan out.
They grow fainter farther from the center, but they are still there, for they are ripples on the pond.
Life is affected by ripples in their lives, someone throws a pebble into someone’s life, and that ripple affects everyone who know them.
They feel sad, and everyone is sad, they are happy, and everyone is happy.
Everyone is affected by what happens to one, because it will eventually affect everyone in their lives.
The larger the stone, the greater the ripples are.
That is a law of physics, and it is also a law of the human heart.
Emotions cause ripples, that are felt by everyone, so does love, because it is affected most of all.
Love can spread to everyone, if it is given a chance, by those truly in love, who can throw the biggest stone into the pond of love.
And make the biggest ripples felt by all. © 2014 Donald |
