Just doing my JobA Poem by DonaldHow many times have you heard those four little words. Words that could mean the difference between life and death to some. Or an inconvenience to others. Dn't you wish they just would be responsibleA phrase used far too often, to escape the real truth.
Unwilling to accept the blame, for causing pain, and suffering of those in need.
But what more can they say, Can they state the true reason, why they have to say it.
Do they know the fear it causes, or understand the pain, of what their actions cause, what those four words can do.
They have the power to yield, but they are afraid of the consequences, of the actions that they take.
They would rather let others suffer, than stand up for the injustice of it all, of a system broken far too long, and merely state that, they were just doing their job.
It is a system broken and corrupted, beyond all recognizable reference, to something unfeeling and cruel.
But if no one but the helpless stand up, who will know what is wrong.
The helpless have no voice , They cannot stand up to state the obvious, because they are the invisible, the unseen of a modern world.
Those four unfeeling words. © 2014 Donald |
