Do you Exist

Do you Exist

A Poem by Donald
"

Is there someone in your life that you love, but they are far away and seldom call. Have you ever had to pinch yourself to make sure that they are real.

"

Are you a dream,

something from the depths of my imagination.

Do you truly exist.

For times I wonder,

whether or not you are real.

Or are you just a desperate attempt,

 to justify my existence.

Yet you seem real,

someone who is just out of my reach.

 Still, I wonder.

My life lies shattered before me,

fragmented into a thousand pieces.

It would only take the slightest breath,

to drive me insane.

If you are real,

you are my only salvation,

my only hope to survive.

My life starts with you,

and it will end with you.

That is the way that I feel about you.

What if,

you are an illusion,

then my fate is sealed,

and darkness surrounds me.

Only you can save my life.

"Or are you just a desperate attempt,

I like the above lines among others, Donald. I read and reread them for me to digest the meaning. :)
