Face of Judgment

Face of Judgment

A Poem by Donald
"

Everyone is their own worst critics. Because we cannot see what is right before your eyes until it is gone. We can only accept it with the help from others.

"

What does of the face of judgment look like?

Does it have the look of wisdom on is brow?

Does it have a beard that sports its sign of age?

Are there age lines on their face from all their time?

Or does it look like you or me?

We are not judged by God,

we are judged by ourselves,

we are our own worst critics.

We are hardest on ourselves rather than anyone else.

We cannot leave it alone,

we keep changing something,

trying to make it perfect.

But creating something is not a search for perfection,

it is creating something unique and special.

We have the ability to create,

and we have the ability to destroy.

We can destroy ourselves with a single thought or action,

without thinking of its consequences,

or how it affects others.

Creating something does not mean something is destroyed.

It may be transformed into something better than before.

The only thing perfect is love.

If one does not love themselves,

how can they love others unless shown the way,

for love is the ultimate creation.
