Beyond Your Reach

Did you ever have a long-distance relationship. It is hard to maintain. And even harder to imagine.

She is there,

so close,

but yet so far.

You try to touch her.

But she is just beyond your reach.

As hard as you try,

you cannot touch her.

You can touch her heart,

but she is too far away to embrace.

She is everything that you hope for in love,

and you know that she feels the same for you.

You can talk to her,

you can see her,

but you cannot feel her skin,

or touch her hair.

For she is just out of arm’s reach of you.

On the other side of the planet.

Sometimes love is cruel.

But love is also blind.

It can see beyond the physical,

into to your heart.

One day she will be in your arms.

Feeling you embrace,

feeling your touch.

Knowing how much you love.
