B**b Tube

If you have children and they watch a lot of mindless TV, you should think about this poem. TV is one of the greatest influences of today. How will we insure the content without watching it ourselves.

The people gathered in front of the screen,

waiting to escape.

 Not to have to think,

just to watch.

 Not to have to imagine,

just to watch.

 Not to need to create,

just to watch.

No thought is required to watch the tube.

 It takes us away from our troubles.

 It takes us away from our problems.

Civilization stagnates and does not advance.

 Creativity is wasted watching TV.

 There is no desire to advance.

 It promotes love and overpopulation.

People no longer want to read to entertain themselves.

Creativity is lost because people no longer think.

People become overweight because they no longer exercise.

We become a lazy nation of watchers with very few doers.

We play video games rather than go out and interact with others.

 TV promotes love without regard to its effect.

 The effect must be reversed.

People must limit exposure to TV to be more responsible.

 People must learn what is important in life.

 People must learn to love again.
