State of ConfusionA Poem by DonaldWhat do you do if the one you love is gone and you don't know why. How do you exist without her.Life is confusing and distracting. Never knowing where to
turn, or where to go. Just wandering aimlessly through life. Unable to decide what
to do or when to do it. Lost love can do this to you. It spins you around until
you are dizzy. Then it cuts you loose to feign for yourself in an uncaring
world. No one sees you or hears you. You are just a nameless person in a crowd
of nameless people. No one cares anymore. The love of your life is now gone, forever? You do not know. You just keep wandering in a circle, unable to decide
which direction to go. Those that do see you, call you a fool for believing in
love. But still there is a small hope. Deep inside your heart. Just barely visible. So tiny and fragile, it could go out any second. The love is still there, waiting to be released once again. To the light of day. So you pray and dream. Of what could be real one day. But you are in a state of confusion. Unable to
move far in any direction. Unwilling to live without that one true love in your
life. Just barely existing in a hostile world. Barely able to breathe, unable
to eat. But willing to love again. © 2013 Donald |
