Chance Encounter

Have you ever walked down the street and saw some one that you felt that you had known. But could not remember where.

I was walking down the street when I saw her.

I vision of pure beauty and grace.

I know she saw me out of the corner of her eye.

As she passed me by.

Her image haunted me throughout the night.

Visions of her invaded my dreams.

I could not stop thinking about her.

Was she the one for me.

The next day on my way to work.

I saw her again.

This time she looked at me and smiled,

It was one of those mysterious smile,

a sinful smile.

Then she stopped, turned and looked at me.

I could see the longing and the loneliness in her eyes.

She had seen something in my eyes.

I  walked over to say hello,

but instead she cradled my head with both hands and gently kissed me.

I was in a state of shock,

I tried to talk,

but nothing came out.

She said hello and told me that I was the one she was looking for.

That my image danced with her in her dreams.

That I had made love to her in a past time.

And now she had found me.

I looked down,

trying to sort out what had just happened.

I was staring at someone I once knew.

But from where I could not tell you.

When two lonely souls who had meant in a previous life.

Who were parted by death and now reunited.

I felt something in my heart.

It was like a memory but stronger.

I embraced her with my arms and kissed her with all the passion of  a lover.

Was this my love from another time and place.

But how was this possible.

To make a chance encounter on the street.

For now I had found her.

The one true love of my life.

To be together now and forever.

Throughout the time,

I had found my lover.
