Moment of Truth

Do you truly know if someone really loves you or are they just using you to pass the time. Then it is a leap of faith if you are sure that you do love her.

How do you admit that you are in love.

Do you write of your undying love to her.

Do you sing her praises.

Or you simply tell her that you love her.

It depends on the artist in you.

Simple men use the straight forward approach,

just stating that they are in love.

While those with imagination proclaim it  with style and grace.

On a rooftop,

on a billboard,

or in a stadium.,

in front of the whole world to see.

Declaring your love does not have to be grandiose on a massive scale,

But as a simple statement of fact.

You love her.

As simple as that.

If she responds the same back to you,

then you know her intentions.

However, if she does not.

You never know where you stand.

She may outright reject you from her life.

Or keep you hanging on a chain like an animal to be played with at her pleasure.

You must be sure even before asking,

Or you will never know the truth about her.

Be clear on your intentions,

stating your true feelings is the only answer she needs for love to grow.

Wow, I learned so much from this, Donald. This is such a lovely piece that should be read by men, especially those who do not yet know how to confess their feelings to their love interest. ;)

I find the content interesting and informative but I think it should be in the essay form/structure? But, of course, this point is nothing of urgent significance... Keep writing, Donald! (How come I haven't come across your poems before?)
