Essence of a Man

What is a man. Do we really know. There is the definition of a man, but it doesn't explain who he is or how he feels . Here is my definition.

The essence of  a man to protect and love another.
To be willing to change if needed from protector to lover,
from guardian to father.
From friend to confidant.
Man is capable of many things,
but he cannot bear children or survive on his own.
A man needs someone to love and cherish to be complete.
For if he does not, then his quest is not yet complete.
Many men have fallen by the wayside because they too have lost their focus and desire.
They seek love from strangers and anyone else who can satisfy their desire to love to keep themselves alive,
if you can call living in the shadow a life.
But still the hunt never end.
It just continues on and on until they are no more than a whisper on someone’s lip’s.
But that is the nature of life and death.
To live,
love and then to die is all we are met to do,
nothing more.
How we live and love is up to each person.
Be a good life or bad,
Or to find true love or lust.
The choice is there.
All one has to do is reach up and take it,
Embrace it with all the passion within their bodies and to take it into their souls for safekeeping.
For nothing else matters.
Only love and then under the right conditions and with the right person to love.
