Super Hero

Super Hero

A Poem by Donald
"

I use to read comics as kid enjoy

"

High from his lofty perch he watched.

For the signs of evil everywhere.

For his job to stamp out this evil before it had a chance to spread,

and infect everyone it touches like a plague.

To do the evil that lies dormant in a person’s heart.

Once it is spotted,

he swings into action.

First by letting his presence be known and then feared,

that he was here to do one thing.

Stop them in their tracks and foil the crime.

Effortlessly,

he takes out the first two from the shadow surrounding them,

Then he moves in on the rest,

taking them down one by one until the leader is the only one left.

He move out from the shadow to make a menacing sight.

The leader,

full of fear,

looks around for his henchmen and none are in sight.

So he pulls out his gun and tries to take aim,

but the hero moves too fast and knocks it from his hands.

The leader drops to his knees and begs for forgiveness.

The hero takes heart to his tearful plea and secures him on the spot.

For in the background,

the wail of the sirens can be heard, coming this way.

The police soon arrive, to see the bandits have been apprehended.

Now the job have been done by the nameless guardian of the city.

Until the next time he is needed.
