Another Day

This is a poem about dreams. What does a person dream about. Does he dream of great adventure and excitement to escape an ordinary life. Or of some love that wants to have.

Another day has come and gone.

Another sunset glows on the horizon.

The night will soon arrive and then sleep will overtake him.

But during the night he will dream.

Of people and places that he has never seen.

Sometimes he dreams of his true love waiting in a faraway land.

Someone who he will be here soon,

lying by his side.

But still he dreams of other things.

He dreams of what could have been and what may be.

He dreams of he once was and what he is now.

In some dreams he is searching for some unknown thing or a person that he has never seen.

Then morning begins and he wakes to face another day of the same old thing.
