The Love Virus

What is love. No one understands it or its power over us. We either embrace it or lose control.

Is love a virus that can be cured with a simple injection.

Can it be cured by bed rest.

Or is it something that you can never be cured of and stays with you forever.

Is love a virus.

It infects your soul,

causes you to act irresponsibly,

and make you burn inside with desires out of control.

There are times that you wish it could be cured,

and times that you wish you had it in your life.

If spins you around like a pinwheel and bends you to its will.

It act like a drug and a craving that you only wish you could fulfill.

But it also allows you to caress a lover and make love to her forever.

It gives you the strength to protect her and to give up your life to defend her.

Love is not easily dismissed or casually tossed aside once it is done.

It stays with you and embraces you with its passions and tenderness.

It truly is a gift to be in love,

be it for the first time or the last time,

it never truly leaves you behind.
