Empty Mornings

Empty Mornings

A Poem by dkirupalli

Some things are meant to be cherished & some things are meant to be thrown,

Tell me which ones shall I discard, none of them seems to be my own.

Coz these memories is all I've got, these memories are my saving grace,

Without 'em I feel so lost, just like staring a blank space.

Wish you could've just stayed forever; wish you could’ve been mine,

Everything would've come into perspective, everything would've been fine.

I know its too much too ask, I know you deserve better,

Trust me with my feelings on this, trust my each letter.

I knew it wasn't meant to last, a truth my heart won't bear,

So my mind kept on feeding lies, building castles on thin air.

Wish you the best in your life; wish you all my good luck,

I shall always be waiting for you here, just remember me when you're stuck.

Yes indeed, the sun shall rise, will continue this endless game,

But without you in it, oh my dear, my mornings won't be the same.
