Froggies

Froggies

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

A nursery rhyme about frogs looking for food on a hot day.

"

Froggies

“Garumph!” said the bull frog,

On his big lily pad;

“Croak! Why aren’t there any

Beetle bugs to be had?”

“Cree-peep!” said the tree frog,

“’Tis so ‘cause of the heat;

There’s not fly nor beetle

In all the swamp to eat!”

“Croak!” exclaim’d the bull frog.

The tree frog said, “Peep, peep!”

Then they dove in the pool,

Where it was cool and deep.
