Where are you going, sweet Mama, today? I go to the market fair, over the way. What will you do there, fair Mama, so gay? I go to sell eggs, which my hens daily lay. May I go with you, dear Mama, do say? Nay, wait here, keep watch for me, and do not stray. Can’t you bide here, Mama, and with me play?
