Purple Tide

Purple Tide

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

A new nursery rhyme, about the fishing of Cornwall. Inspired by an episode of Rick Steves: The Best of Europe.

"

Purple Tide

Come!       The sea has turn’d purple,

Look sharp, lads!  String out the seine;

When th’Atlantic turns purple,

Look sharp!

Initial reactions and constructive criticism welcome. This is meant to resemble a traditional English nursery rhyme.
