Seamstress, Oh Seamstress

A new nursery rhyme, which flitted through my mind in the pre-dawn hours.

Seamstress, Oh Seamstress

 

Seamstress, oh seamstress,

Pray, sew me a gown;

I’ll be presented

Down in London Twow!

 

Seamstress, oh seamstress,

Pray, let it be green;

I’ll look my finest,

When I meet the Queen!

 

Seamstress, oh seamstress,

Do trim it with fur;

I must look pretty

To curtsey  to her!

 

Seamstress, oh seamstress,

Pray, make the skirt fine;

The prince will be there,

And I’ll make him mine!

All is well here, Debbie. I had problems with the site for about a week. Seems stable the last two days, hope it continues! Happy Sunday. It is family day weekend here, so we have a long weekend, yay!!

It's President's Day here tomorrow, to honor Washington and Lincoln, so we have a lomg weekend, too. I'm more interested in next weekend, though, because we're going to the zoo to see the polar bears and the penguins, in the tunnels that go under their swimming tanks. The lighting there creates odd contrasts, so I can actually see the animals swimming, most of the time! I'm as excited as a kid!
