The Sleepy Ladybug

The Sleepy Ladybug

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

Just another nursery rhyme that drifted through my head.

"

The Sleepy Ladybug

There was a daisy in the field,

Smiling at the sky;

A ladybug crawled up its stem,

And upon it did she lie.

The ladybug was tired, indeed;

She said, “Would you mind,

If I nap on your yellow face?”

“Sleep,” said the flow’r so kind.

Initial reactions and constructive criticism welcome. It's supposed to feel like a traditional nursery rhyme.
