The Discriminating Frog

The Discriminating Frog

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

A scrap of nonsense. Intended as a new nursery rhyme.

"

A little froggy sat and thought,

Upon his lily pad,

Eating flies, as a froggy ought;

More than enough he had.

A dragonfly did dance and skim

Around the lily pad,

But froggy didn't bother him;

Thought he, “Those taste bad!”

Just something that popped into my head when I couldn't sleep. It's supposed to feel like traditional nursery rhymes. Initial reactions and constructive criticism welcome.
