Christmas Spirit

A new poem to start off Advent, about Christmas.

We're draping the Garland,
We're hanging out lights,
Decorating for Christmas,
And doing it right.

A star on the tree top
And balls hung below,
It's looking like Christmas,
Except there's no snow.

The cards on the mantle,
The presents so bright,
All set,  and ready
For Christmas Eve night.

The babe's in the manger,
With shepherds and sheep,
Christmas is upon us;
The children all sleep.

Awake Christmas morning,
Peace and joy to the Earth;
Sing carols and celebrate
Christ Jesus's birth!
