Journeys of life

Journeys of life

A Poem by D. Jay Webb

Journeys of life

Never really thought of the future

Here we are in it

Standing on the page of time

So clearly seeing

The mistakes, bad choices

The what that should have been said

The things better left unsaid

The people that should have clung to

The people better ran from

Now being in the consequence

Not all bad

No need to dwell on the if’s

True some things are forever in a mortal way

Life is a journey made better with a friend.

True story. Life can get intense and it is a journey that can always be made better with a friend.

I think you have a great start here. I think to make it stronger you can pay closer attention to your punctuation. Commas in this piece could definitely be your friends. Don't be afraid to add a few. It could give the reader a chance to get a small pause and "soak in" what they have read so far.

Thanks for the great read. I look forward to seeing more in the future.
