This Heat #2

This Heat #2

A Poem by DJuan Thomas
"

The mutual charge of interracial coupling.

"
In the silence next to you,
In the light of full moon's blue,
I see the contrast of your white skin
on my brown skin.
Your hand on my chest, pale pink
lips on my brown and lovelorn fingers.
There is a heaviness to this objectification
that weighs on this time we have together.
But when I look to that white hand
and pleasures prove true...
I feel left with a question:
Who's objectifying who?
