Free Me

Free Me

A Poem by Dug
"

These are the thoughts that run through my head when I worry about keeping my job. I'm guessing that other people might be able to relate.

"

soft pillow
made of concrete
rushing up
here to meet me

i am waiting
it's not so bad
i can already
feel the impact

i want you to
free me
i want to just
let it all go
i am not a
human anymore
it's already
turning to snow

broken riddles
made to trick me
i can never
just let it be

pins and needles
left on my sheets
i have never
wanted to leave

i want you to
free me
i want to just
let it all go
i am not a
human anymore
it's already
turning to snow

i wanted to go home
i wanted to just be left alone
so i just hide away from it all
but i am running into brick walls

"its already turning to snow" doesn't make sense. F**k trying to rhyme, if you werent going to say it in the first place dont just say it cause it fits there. Say what your really trying to say.

But I could be off. Maybe snow is a metaphor for something, and I'm just not seeing it?
anyway. Nice write.

A lot of what's on here are song lyrics (plus a few random short stories when my imagination wanders). I write music, but I've been trying to focus on the lyrical side of things. Words and music when.. more..
