A beginning: the faceless man

A beginning: the faceless man

A Story by Ngechu

Light...colours, a blend, its all blurred, a concotion that in its intensity lies my dismay- an analogy to this mayhem...but i close my eyes, shut them so wide that the dark fades to red and therein lies my calm, serenity at last (and everything outside ceases to exist)..but there he stands, alone in the dark down that street(i fall to my knees)...and he stares,in the dark,(he never moves) and his silhouette tells of a story, a tale(i think he knows my secrets)...and he steps towards me,and as the moonlight hits his face, glints off the featureless terrain, my apprehension turns to fear, and terror(he tilts his head)..and finally-calm..this is my request, for in chaos we find order.
