Depression No More

Depression No More

A Poem by Mike

Eating up a pure spirit from inside out
Quenching a longing thirst from drought
Surrender feels as if it’s the only drug to this pain
Taking life will all be in vain

Knocking at that door of self-destruction is no solution
Unlocking the pain and suffering is only pollution
Ignorance of the turmoil inside brings destruction
Finding the peace inside will be the only resolution

Free yourself from the demons locked inside and discover a true purpose
Throw caution to the wind and let your spirit be set free to find your gift
Painful I know to surrender to a higher power and trust in the message for a lift
The confusion of not knowing what it is until the very last moment … frustrating

If nothing else take this open heart on faith and follow
Let go of today’s pain and yesterday’s mistakes as they will eat away tomorrow
Time doesn’t wait for anyone and each second counts so why spend them in sorrow
Choices need to be made for the rebirth of the phoenix alive inside this old willow

Depression no more … set yourself free and live everyday
Depression no more … forgive yourself for the pain and suffering
Depression no more … no longer live behind the bars of regret
Depression no more … rebirth is now its your opportunity to shine bright

Let go of regrets and let the light inside shine outwards … life is but a moment … treasure it every second you live it … it’s a gift and should be treated as such
