Is This The Life

Driving down the dirt road feels like the same road, the same road that never deviates from normality, selling everything to realize a dream, ignoring dreams to realize the truth of life,

Is this the life when the hills just never end, is this the life when the hard times get harder, is this the life when getting up is so much harder, is this the life when reality hits you between the eyes,

I think I can do much better than this,
I know I can feel much more than this,
I pray to live more than this,
I await wanting to be free of stress like this,

Patience is no longer a virtue its a struggle, wanting more than tomorrow can bring, hoping for the ease of an easier life I want to give, praying every night that I fulfill these dreams and securities I have to realize,

If this is the life then I need to feel it,
If this is the life then I need to know it,
If this is the life then I have to make it,
If this is the life then I must complete it,

Knocking on the door of success over again, unlocking the harshness of what life can throw down, tighten up my gloves and step into the ring, swing again and again and try to block the hits,

Gloves off no more rules no more time outs, head up high old school rules, fight I will until there is no more left, dodge the bullets and strike back with force,

If this is the life then bring it on,
If this is the life then no challenge to big, if this is the life show me the next mountain to clime, if this is the life then lay down the path I will walk it,

If this is the life then challenge me !!!
