DriversA Poem by Jacky BoyHalf-baked goods upon the sill. Unfished business wafts sweet scents. Thoughts buzz, Bacchus allured Delight deterred in static rain. Left-justified racetrack bends, Head scrapes to finish once,
Then once again. Battered wasp On window glass. Edges without exit. We undefined bright lines streak, Dendritic network streets meet. Woven images repeat, like Pictures without a frame.
Artificial cerebellum autopilot Cements subjective permanence. Companioned by a slow external brain. You cry when it dies. Imply emotion, Smile so Social Friends cheer From an empty stand. A networked hive. Mind races under aimless influence.
Buzz pies in microwaves. Aluminum conduction sparks Over-throttled, ATP To a neural engine superhighway. Yellow-jacketed thoughts fly by.
You need a brake, to slow. Swarming scattered thoughts toll, Twist idle, trills. Myelin filling Drips, spill off track. Shattered glass connects, like Dizzy fractured eyes Reflects selfish empathy.
Picture perfect, photo capture, Systolic steam bated on final breath. Out of patience for elation. Half-finished ideas feel bereft. © 2022 Jacky Boy |
