Love and Pain

Love and Pain

A Poem by Deeply Debbie
"

This is the title piece for my booklet of poetry that I'm starting. It's pretty self-explanatory.

"

Love and pain go hand in hand.
Lead me through the darkened sand
For I shall follow nightly.
Lead me to the lighted path,
I’ll shadow you forthrightly.
Dance with me in the rain.
Sing with me of love and pain.

Love and pain go hand in hand.
Lead me to the promised land.
Shelter me from the sorrow.
Bittersweet the blood we swallow
When we cut our hearts into pieces.

Dance with me the dance of ages.
Guide me through my cruel rages.
Dance with me in the rain.
Sing with me of love and pain.

Not sure if you are correct in your poem,
but it is very well written and I would like to
see more.

I think there may be some thought that love is
a very comfortable place where two people are
in paradise just being each other`s company.

Certainly the loss of a loved one, or sexual activity
stimulated by abuse is painful-----but, is that love ?

Your poem stimulates the imagination and bring out
the creative force------thank you.

Dear Debbie, although our lyric is different, you and I most assuredly sing the same songs. Please grace us all with your new songs as they come along. I know I will do the same for you.
