The lover's game

The lover's game

A Poem by DZasia King

“I gave my heart away to another,” she said with her chest bare tears slowly running down. The cage held within empty only crumbs left behind. His hands clasped the morsels with a delicate touch slowly rising his gaze to the orbs of her lost soul. “This is more than enough,” he whispered grinning. His hands moved towards his pounding heart tugging at the strings breaking it piece by piece. She stared lost and confused at that man who stood before her. “You can have mine.”
