child of warA Poem by dessy
I cried today
when I saw your face on a child of war in a far away place murdered by men who dont care to know his name who will never admit to being the cause of his pain I cried for his mother her absence of choice- victemized by the political ambitions of men who'll never apologize by unjustly damning religious zealots who praise their gods with showers of indiscriminate bullets with every ounce of my soul I rallied against this tragedy for the families caught unwillingly in this absolutely avoidable atrocity they do not represent us those hawks who clamor for self rightous causes and this invariably unecessary war if we could all instill in our children integrity we could undo these wrongs be the saving grace of humanity. © 2008 dessyReviews
