My Best Friend

If I could turn back time

and erase what I have done,

I'd do so in a heartbeat

just so that I could stand

by your side once again.

I wouldn't have to worry

about losing my best friend,

all that has separated us

will disappear

and we can talk for hours again

like we used to do

all those summers ago
