The headless men

It was a dark night.There was a gurgling sound from the sky,but strangely enough it didn't rain..Rennesse was tired.Rubbing her eyes,she looked at her co-worker James..

"I am going.This overnight shift is so tiring."said James wearily.

"You are right.I am turning for home too." she said packing her bags..

"I will drop you home if you want.."James said with a sly 'smirk' which Rennesse hated.

"After all..you are a woman.." his voice deepened..smirk intact..

"I don't need your help.."said Rennesse angrily storming out.

Rennesse walked at the quiet street.

"Today everything is so weird and James is too weird".. she thought.

The road was abandoned..Cool breeze kept on blowing giving signs of heavy shower coming.Leaves were rustling.The street lights kept constantly blinking.

After walking for a while,Rennesse felt someone stalking her.She could clearly see two shadows possibly of men..and hear the light footsteps..The strange thing was that they had no heads! she gasped.She instantly regretted not asking for James help..She decided to walk calmly and slowly,because if she increased her footsteps the person behind her would possibly do it too.She didn't dare to look back.She was afraid, she would pass out;an inherent trait she had inherited from her parents..She kept on observing the shadow as she walked..A sudden flutter in them would make her realize that they were trying to get close to her..

She kept searching for fresh air to breathe.Her body by now,had refused to obey her orders of walking,out of fear..She came close towards a taxi stand hoping to find someone..Suddenly she bumped into a man..

"Take me to the station." she demanded nervously.Her voice hardly coming out.

"Sure miss.get in." he said getting into the taxi,starting the engine.

Hurriedly Rennesse got inside and closed the door.Hoping to see some men behind her,she turned around..but she saw no one.

Rennesse took a sigh of relief.Imagining everything to be a dream,she closed her eyes,silently thanking god.She gulped down some water from her bottle..As the taxi kept on running,she could constantly hear a noise..It was as if the back door of the taxi were luggage are kept,was not closed.The noise kept on irritating her.

"But the driver wouldn't be so careless." she thought.

"Stop here!"she said as the taxi neared the station.

Giving money she got off hurriedly as she could see the raindrops falling.She didn't want to get wet..But..After getting off..

She could see..The driver was headless...

"My god!" Rennesse whispered her legs faltering..

In her hurry,she failed to notice the man..and thus she didn't come to know this; to her horror..

The taxi went off..

But to her horror again,she saw..

To the back of the taxi, James body was kept....His bloodstained, lifeless body..

She could recognize him from the blue shirt and the blue denims he loved wearing to the office.

"That was why the car kept on making noise." Rennesse gasped,her body now shivering..

She could now hardly breathe.It was difficult for her.

She gently closed her eyes..There was heavy downpour of rain..

"Oh my god!"she said nervously.Tears gushing down from her eyes..washed away in rain..

"Is this a dream or an illusion?" she said before passing out on the desolate road....

While two familiar shadows approached her....
