O' mighty star!

for people who give meaning to life

Like a diamond studded in the sky

O' tiny star, I look at you

Night after night, I shared my life

with this radiant, brilliant speck of light..

Those nights, I remember

how you shared my sorrow

and convinced me

of yet another tomorrow.

And I waited, 

as you smiled

and faded..

giving me yet another beautiful day,

the warm sun - lovely and gay..

As darkness fell, 

you held me in your hands

Even being miles away,

you made the best of friends.

And today, as I search the sky

with drops of water in my eye

like a flower, colorless and dry

O' falling star, I pray for you

Day after day, you shared my life

Each night is blessed with your smile

you wanted me to nourish and shine

and left me saying, "Make a wish"

Though you're gone, you're still here

your memories are still crystal clear

come back to my sky, wash my tears

O' mighty star - grant my wish!!

Beautiful imagery in this piece, and a lovely little story that you tell.
So often when we lose the ones we felt as our anchor do we want nothing more than to have them back. It is indeed a tough bit to chew.

This is a beautiful poem and I liked the subject that this poem is about. Because most people don't really appreciate the stars, since pollution clouds the sky like a fog, or they take those shiny, bright things for granted.
