An end to the narcissistic pandemic

the virus traveling through minds by spending time brooding and breeding

conjugal visits in the prison of our beliefs

momentary reprieve, no release

cyclical values of devaluing Self

A false step makes a false thought and false words fall out

unbridled contagion in a narcissistic hive mind

spreading with allowance and acceptance

a lie brought close and held most dear.

It's not death, but life they fear.

A life without limitation, full of imagination,

reciprocal validation as life begets life

A seed planted deep in the mud

gathering sun and rain and earth into its heart

moving out in steady and even increments

The most contagious of ailments

Nearly 8 billion people full of life

full of breath and grown like a seed from the mud

trying so hard to stop the burning star they are

Failing every day as they breathe and be

All the beliefs and all the wrongdoing

can't stop them from living

can't stop life from living without them

One way or another, an end to the narcissistic pandemic

Yes, the pandemic certainly has found its way into our lives like a bully who needs attention. The media is a culprit in this also but I guess it's their job to find and tell a story that won't go away.

And yet, those who suffered and lived do so bravely.

What will the future bring. We'll just have to find out.

Just wanted to confirm, with a name like "DiverseTV" sounded a bit like one of those 'bot companies.

I'll write you proper now.

"Narcissistic Pandemic."

I think you've got that straight. I remember as a kid when arcades were starting to grow in size and variety I told Dad that I had thought up something that wasn't yet in here.

And what was that, he asked ?

A crazy machine that you step into, it has a seat and a big plastic bubble in the top.

For 25 cents your head is shown through the dome rotates your face around as klaxons and alarms go off as well as spinning yellow and red lights.

All to annoy the heck out of everyone else. The name of it, "Look at me !" 5-minutes of undue fame for a quarter.

Sounds silly I know but that seems to be pretty well the age we are living in. where everyone and everyone's grandma wants to get attention, negative or otherwise.

You can see this in Youtube with people recording hapless others and trying to get them involved in a fight or argument - all for the sake of a few minutes of "entertaining" video.

The world we live in ...

So, yeah, the most contagious of diseases people get today ? "Narcissism."

The people who crave it the highest ? As far as I can tell, bullies. Just that. Occasionally people in a position of authority or those who loom over other people in any capacity.

The best cure for Narcissism ? Sitting, relaxing, smiling, and opening your EARS to others. Don't just hear them, LISTEN to them.

It's a great and wonderful world out there so God gave us two ears and one mouth to enjoy it with. And the math involved is easy to see.

Two legs to travel.
Two hands to do good in the world.
Two ears to listen.
But only one mouth to speak ...
