P.S. I Love You

P.S. I Love You

A Poem by Audrey Howitt

Polite woman-

Your house is clean,

Your sheets are pressed,

Your neighbors approve.

You send cards on birthdays

Devoid of any personal sentiment-

Signed “love mom”

Would it kill you to add a postscript

“I love you”

But then when they do say the 3 words, it means so much more! Family is weird, this was chilling in how close to home it can hit.

Provoking read!

Wow, how do I love this poem, as I hate true civil persons.... you capture in one hand a whole society problem. :D I love this. Thank you so much! GREAT EYE OPENER xxx

so now you have readers who read and understand and feel...and if we never sent our love to mom, we can send it to you
