Take Naught

Take Naught

A Poem by Nous

Here we are again
resting lightly beneath
every ascending breath
Giving our hope to the wind
that the slowly rising steam of our hearts
will reach the ones
who believe these things to matter.

Close your lids softly
Maybe you'll imagine
a drifting life of someone new
resting quietly behind a set of eyes
that roll only for 'reality'
completely blind to such a gift as
Dreams.

"In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye
Till the sun is in the sky."
